PVC strip curtains
Made of transparent, soft PVC material, we recommend the use of transparent, soft PVC curtains as thermal insulation curtains for holes with high traffic, for both normal and deep-freeze rooms, even as an addition to the cold storage door, to minimize heat dissipation between rooms with different temperatures or when opening the door. Strips can be 100, 150, 200, 300 or 400mm wide, 2 or 3mm thick (up to 4 or 5mm thickness for 200 and 300mm wide strips), made of normal or antifreeze quality material. For the curtain support structure, we can offer two different systems:
1 – PVC strips are mounted on plastic supports which turn on a metal tube. The pipe supporting the curtain can be made of galvanized or stainless steel. The curtains are fixed to the receiving structure by means of strong, frost-resistant plastic gripping elements connected in a plane or at 90º. This type of curtain system can be made without overlapping, with 25 or 50 mm strip overlap. Overlapping results in better thermal insulation but more difficult movement. The advantage of a plastic support and overlap system is that the strips swing out of position more easily, the plastic strip elements can be easily rotated on the support tube, so that it is not only the rigidity (softness) of the material that is overcome, but also the curtain can be moved through.
2 – The classic “hook” mounting and hanging system, where pairs of metal plates mounted on the curtain are hung on a suspension rail of hook design mounted on the wall.
The fixing plates are available in the same sizes as the strips, in widths of 100, 150, 200, 300 and 400mm, in galvanised or stainless steel finish.
The hanging rail system can also be galvanised or stainless steel and is available in different lengths.
If strip overlaps are required, the following overlaps can be implemented for strips of different widths:
100mm wide strips: 18mm overlap
150mm wide strips: 27 or 68mm overlap
200mm wide strips: 36 or 77mm overlap
300mm wide strips: 54 or 95mm overlap
400mm wide strips: 72 or 113mm overlap
